The Plains Conservation Center (PCC) needs your help in combating one of its greatest ecological threats - the spread of invasive plants species! View the calendar to register for one of our stewardship work days and enjoy a couple of hours working out on the land and learning alongside site staff and fellow Volunteer Stewards, while immersing yourself in the beauty of the prairie and its resident wildlife at the PCC.

Receive training in the proper identification of the site's most troublesome weeds along with the best methods of control techniques for individual species including cutting seed heads, splicing tap roots, and/or hand pulling. Work gloves and hand tools will be provided. Please bring a water bottle and be sure to wear long pants, closed toed shoes, and sun protection. Looking forward to seeing you out on the prairie!
