Description:

The Cottonwood Discovery Area will highlight wildlife that use cottonwoods through interpretive panels, encouraging solitary bees to settle in bee hotels that are placed where people can see them closely, and by providing seating and playing areas for people to relax and enjoy the shade and beauty of cottonwoods while the kids play on stumps and other natural features.

Stewards will get to do things like install the path, put up bee hotels, and place stumps and totems so they''re ready for the public. The dates for this event will be Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, 9am-3pm both days.
Stewards are welcome to come in for just a couple hours or the entire day.

Please contact Fendi at fdespres@auroragov.org to discuss scheduling.

Prior to registering for this opportunity you must register to become an open space and natural resources steward because of background check requirements.
