Direct Meal Preparation as Guest Chef (MDC) - Men's Development Center

It is extremely important to offer the homeless a well prepared meal. There is nothing like great food to soften hard circumstances and soothe heavy hearts. With that in mind, we have developed the Guest Chef program for professional chefs.

The Guest Chef Program is a vehicle for touching our clients in a very special way with an incredible meal that will always be remembered. Perhaps it will even ignite the imaginations of our clients and lead to fulfilling careers in the food preparation field. For participating chefs, it's a pathway to help the less fortunate through the use of your culinary skills.

Taste and see that the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8

Reading Room volunteers will be assigned a group of students with similar reading levels. Volunteers will use a variety of tools to help students increase their reading skills and comprehension.

Math Room volunteers will review a basic math skill each week, such as multiplication and long division.

Homework Room volunteers will specifically help students with homework assignments.

In each of these areas, creative, flexible and faithful volunteers are necessary to help the students achieve academic success!
